THE EMBER COLLECTIVE

FEBRUARY

MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

This month marks the one-year anniversary of The Ember Collective, and we’re excited to share some of our favorite highlights, featuring picks from Michelle.

One of the things we truly love is our community and the vibrant energy you all bring to our space.

Over the past year, we have hosted a variety of events including birthday parties, celebrations of life, baby showers, wedding receptions, photo shoots, mystery murder parties, skate nights, cacao ceremonies, sound baths, team-building workshops, conferences, legal depositions, podcasts, and much more.

A Sweet Valentine’s Treat!

We are incredibly excited about what’s to come in 2025 and are eager to hear your ideas and creative suggestions!

If you are looking for a sweet treat for a Valentine or a Valentine’s event, I highly recommend Jenny’s cupcakes. If you attended our opening, you would have tasted her delicious cupcakes. I personally couldn’t pick a favorite flavor because they were all so tasty!

The Ember Collective: A Vision Born from Firehouse Beginnings

Now, let me share my own little story. Joe and I purchased the firehouse during the Covid pandemic for our business, Cargo Solutions USA.

When we bought the firehouse, it needed to be completely gutted, so I gave it an industrial vibe. After Covid, I needed a place to teach yoga since I had been renting space before the pandemic. With some convincing, I got Joe and the team on board to allow me to teach a few classes a week in the warehouse.

Cargo Solutions quickly outgrew the firehouse and moved a few blocks away, leaving me wondering what to do with the property. During my daughter-in-law’s baby shower, I saw how the space was utilized, and that inspired the idea for The Ember Collective.

More Than a Space:
A Place to Grow and Connect

The Ember Collective is much more than just event and conference space; we also offer smaller conference rooms and virtual offices, and hOMe yoga is hosted at The Ember Collective.

The concept is that the fire keeps burning in the firehouse, representing various things as embers. I transformed the space with a mini facelift to give it a mid-century vibe that complements the building’s design.

As a community, The Ember Collective thrives, and having a space for hOMe yoga has been a dream come true for me. Yoga is one of my favorite passions, and I love sharing it with others.

I named my business hOMe yoga because it started in my house, and I chose to keep the name because yoga has brought me home to myself.

If you’re interested in trying yoga, check out hOMeyoga.yoga. We would love to see you in a class!
