Behind The Ember Collective
Before becoming The Ember Collective, this building served the San Leandro community as a local fire station, formerly known as the Mulford Fire Department. For decades, it was a place of service, readiness, and connection. During the pandemic, my husband and I purchased the building for his freight business. As his company outgrew the space and I searched for a home for my yoga practice, an idea sparked. Why not create something new?
The Ember Collective was born from the transformation of this former fire station into a vibrant space for work, creativity, and community, allowing the building to continue serving people in a meaningful way, just through a new purpose.
From Yoga Studio to Community Space
What began as a yoga studio soon evolved into something bigger. Instead of renting the space to a corporation, we envisioned a place where entrepreneurs, creatives, and community members could gather, collaborate, and celebrate.
Now, The Ember Collective offers conference rooms, and event spaces designed with a mid-century modern aesthetic, blending industrial elements with warmth and greenery.
